I love the shoe. It is awesome! It provides a whole lot of support (it has padding on the sides of the shoe and up by the ankle), so provides a whole lot of support for your foot and ankles if you have foot and it ankle issues.Also, the insole comes with a very nice insole if you don’t have a foot problem with plenty of arch support. I have to wear custom orthotics because I am a diabetic with neuropathy and a lot of foot pain, so I ordered the size 10 1/2 2E, which is extra wide and it fits great with my orthotics inside.I do order a size up from my regular foot size, because the orthotics take up so much room, but I would say that they are true to size with the fit with the length and the width.These are my second pair! I had my first pair that my insurance company paid for through Hanger Clinic because of my diabetes and neuropathy. My first pair had the velcro straps, and they were very ugly, because the Velcro straps were really large in the width and there were three straps on top. I like this shoe so much better with the laces because they don’t look big and bulky like the other pair with the Velcro straps.I have a different pair of Apis adventure boots (they are a hiking boot style that are fabulous also with a lot of support), so I want to order some other shoes from Apis, because I think they make an excellent quality shoe/boot. I showed them to my podiatrist and he said those were very well-built boots that I was wearing and he said I could wear those instead of one of those big, bulky custom-made cast foot boot because of my foot problems that I have.They are worth the price if you pay out-of-pocket, however, if you do have diabetes and neuropathy, most insurance companies, and Medicare will cover the cost of the shoes and three pairs of orthotics for a small co-pay!
