As far as wraps go, this is a very good one. It is a not too long, not too short length that allows me to drape over my shoulders, cross over my chest and flip over the opposite shoulder with a nice tail. The cashmere is soft. It is knitted, but with a fine weave. I would call it medium weight so it is not hot, but keeps my shoulders warm on cool mornings. It would be perfect for travel as it folds nicely, doesn't wrinkle and would slip into most purses without taking up too much room. I've have the red one for over a year and have had only minor pilling, hardly any at all.It's a little decadent, but on cool nights, I sleep in it over my pj's. It keeps my neck nice and warm without the need to adding so much weight from extra blankets. The same applies for too cool hotel rooms while on the road.
