I share my home with seven cats, and not all of them get along. For this reason I need to be able to divide my home into zones and this gate does the job very well. The bars are close enough that my young athletic cats cannot slip through. I can operate the latch with one hand - very useful when passing through carrying a bowl. Out of the box the top latch was stuck, but the seller worked with me on solving that problem (gentle tapping on the latch, blowing it out with canned air and lubricating the mechanism).
