I might have given this vacuum 4 stars, but the customer service boosts it to 5 stars. Our unit worked great for 3 days, then started working on its own regardless of where we were in the house. I contacted customer service and received a response the following morning. It provided several steps to try. I turned it off and turned it back on again (I'm an IT Crowd fan)i, I plugged it into another outlet, I moved it to another room, all to no avail. I contacted Customer Service again and they suggested trying it once more in its original location and offered to send a new unit if it still didn't work. However, when I plugged it back in again with the original configuration, lo and behold, it worked perfectly.The vacuum power is very good, the sensors negate the need for bending over and though I do consider it to be fairly noisy, I can handle the noise for six seconds. The built-in hose with crevice tool is very handy.We live in a wooded area and can't go in through any door without tracking in fir needles. It is so much easier on our backs to grab the broom we keep between our back door and garage door and banish the needles into the vacuum unit. My only suggestion is to make the cord longer. But if this continues to work as well, we'll probably buy a second one.I just wish the fridge, TV and computers came with five-year warantees!
