We are very happy with this gate. Installation was very easy, once in place no further adjustments were needed. All details for installation are very well thought and came with the product in order. The gate have been in place and in use for two months. There is no damage to the walls whatsoever. The gate is very sturdy, functions very well. Door opens and closes with no issues.We bought the gate because we adopted a new kitten while already having a resident cat 4 years old. To introduce the new kitten to our resident cat we needed to keep them separate, so they gradually get to know each other. First the kitten was in a separate room, then both the cat and the kitten separated by the gate. This gate served the purpose perfectly. We still use the gate!!! :) Funny - we use the gate to separate ourselves from the cats who are long time together now. :) Cats play all night an so we use the gate so they play without disturbing our sleep. :)You see the gate is installed where it separates bedrooms from the rest of the flat and therefore the gate is in perfect place with the perfect purpose. We will eventually remove the gate of course, that is when the kitten is grown and when both cats calm down and once again sleep through the night with us in bed like the older cat used to do before the new kitten arrived.We can say with confidence that the gate is perfect for cats and small dogs for sure. We are not sure if big dogs would not dislodge the gate if pushed with dog's weight and power. Cates do not push the gate and the height of the gate is perfect for cats do not jump over.
