Very soft comfortable knee pads. The long length is a bit bulky, but that extra length distributes some weight to your shin. The straps are set low so they do not bunch up behind the knee. I have tried many knee pads over the last 20 years, and I have found that you get what you pay for. I have read that other contractor's rave about the Pro Knee pads (@$250) and I came close to ordering them. I thought that I would try these first to see if I would like a long cap knee pad, and I am glad I did. At @$70 these pads are much superior to the ones in the 40 to 50 dollar range, and still cheap enough to replace them once a year, which I usually have to do. I have to replace them when either the gel breaks down (flattens), or the straps wear out (hook&loop). They should last much longer for the casual user. They feel great, now lets see how long they last.Update : I have just ordered my 3rd pair. They are lasting me about 12-14 months. The gel remains fine, but the hook&loop straps wear out. I use them daily and take them on and off 4- 6 times a day. I am in the appliance business and I am on my knees all day. I luv those long caps because my weight is distributed to my shins. I will never go back to a standard length pad.
