Extremely simple install, no drilling required. Fits well over baseboards. It seems to be a perfect, tight fit, but I would be worried about it coming down if toddlers and small children were pulling on it. It does come with round plastic pieces that you can drill in the wall to hold the gate in place, but they were not necessary for my situation. It is very sturdy without them, but I would utilize the extra pieces if I had kids in the house.The gate looks amazing, and it the perfect height for comfortable opening and closing. High enough to keep children from climbing or trying to open it.Super easy to open. Some of the reviews had me worried about this, but it is much simpler than expected. You just push two buttons at the same time to unlock, and then push it open. It takes adult strength, so small children would not be able to open it, while adults can open and close with ease.Only downside is that it is very loud when you close it, even if trying to do it quietly.Overall, I am in love with this product and would definitely recommend!
