I bought the Hitch Up to replace a home-made platform that i had made out of wood years ago that I recently destroyed backing up into a pole. Our Labrador used this one quite handily but i just didn't have time to make a new one. I had high hopes for this one. It was sturdy and well made, but ultimately, my dog was just afraid to use it even after many gentle tries of encouragement - he just wasn't havin' it. The powder coat platform is slippery on dog paws and just not intuitively designed. I wish it had a non-slip pad or carpet and a slight angle downward like my old one.
