This mat is thick and works on my thick rug. It came rolled up and the instructions state to let it get to room temperature overnight before attempting to roll it out. It was a warm day so I left it on my patio in the shade and it basically rolled itself out in about 6 hours. It’s perfect for the small work area I have set up and works well. Seems to be sturdy material and so far, it’s exactly what I wanted.
