This is a great vacuum that rewards patience in perfecting zones. We had a first generation Roomba that had half the power of this little robot on its lowest setting. On high I would rate it on par with my Dyson Animal. They key, at least for me, has been to get a consistent base location, to allow it to map zones and to observe where it gets into jams , then to use the virtual wall and forbidden zone tools in order to block off areas where it gets tangled up and has trouble getting out. It is important to think like a robot when looking at zones. It sees under closed doors and through glass so take that into account when setting up virtual walls.It is very interesting to see it go through a sequence of behaviors when it gets stuck. I wish that it could , as it’s final attempt back up and retrace it’s steps for several inches before trying to turn. I also wish I could program it to stay on low level in some zones as the strong suction on carpet gets it tangle up with fringe on area rugs.We have a double coated dog, Buddy Boy, an Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler. As we enter the spring coat blowing season I am now able to vacuum daily while I get ready. I’m amazed at how throughly it cleans - it doesn’t miss an inch! Much more through than I’ll ever be!BTW there is some noise but no more so than our regular vacuums. Also it seems well sealed and the dust bin is easy to clean.
