Obviously, every saddle is different and unique as are their riders. I waited for 2 months before giving this review so as to get through the break-in period. What I have found is that this is an extremely well designed Italian bicycle seat. I ride mostly road but traverse uneven pavement throughout a portion of my 35 mile rides. All I can say is that I do not have the numbing discomfort I had to contend with after my previous rides. I still experience saddle soreness when I dismount but that quickly goes away with some walking around. I did have to adjust the saddle until I found the position that best fits me. I have tried a total of 4 designs prior to trying the Selle SMP Extra. I am well pleased and have since bought a second saddle for my touring/racing bike. A bit odd with regard to it's aesthetic look, it's functional purpose supersedes others in reducing, and hopefully, eliminating the potential impotence issue. By no means is this an inexpensive saddle but assuredly not the most expensive either. I classify myself as an intermediate cyclist expending 3-5 hours per ride. Excellent product with no complaints so far.
