A perfect pen. Worked perfectly OOTB. I bought a set of IC100 ink cartridges with it (noobish? perhaps) i like the 1 mL capacity. The pen is very fine, nay extra fine! I am used to writing with a kurate ZIG Millenium .005, this line is almost equivalent with light touch, excellent line variation (though some say this is "semi-flex", for the novice it seems like a wonderful amount). The nib feel solid, it doesnt seem so fragile that it will fall apart on you. $144 seems like a lot but if you want a great writer with line variation this is the one you wanna go with.As far as a lot of the reviewers referring to the "scratchiness" of the pen, yes it maybe somewhat "scratchy", though if you are someone who draws in "pen and ink" style this feeling should be quite familiar. I cannot imagine getting as fine a line as a ZIG millennium .005 which is VERY scratchy, if you are used to this feeling, the Namiki Falcon will be a breeze and will write just as fine as a .005 pen. Unlike these other "fine liner" marker pens, I can't imagine this tip getting dull which was my biggest complaint with these other pens (ZIG and others), AND there is line variation with this!!! So as far as the writing is concerned I think it is excellent, if you like writing with a very fine tip this is the best game in town. The pen itself is beautiful, nice and lightweight, people who like to write and draw a lot probably don't want a bulky, heavy, unwieldy pen.Overall, haters gonna hate, ignore those reviews, I am so glad I have my Falcon.
