The frame is deep enough to accommodate most any kind of Uniform Display. The interior is dark and doesn't interfere with any color and accepts straight pins to attach items to the back. I think it looks great and well worth the money. The snap locks on the side are adequate to keep the door closed and looks very nice when snapped shut.UPDATE: I purchased another one of these Shadow Boxes, making three. The second one I put my Army Dress uniform in and it looks superb. Very satisfied with the second box. Today I received my third box, hoping to put another of my uniforms in it so that each of my children will have one when I'm finished with them. Unfortunately, I boght it from the Amazon Warehouse where it was listed as a returned item but it was supposed to be in good shape with only the shipping box with a few dings, nothing major. It was a deal that was $60 less expensive than the other two, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Big Mistake. The shipping box was a real mess, the shadow box inside was poorly packed without the original packing materials. The case was cracked at one of the corners, the door had a piece of the wood on the inside missing and the plexiglass was loose in the door. I wanted it to work out and even considered keeping and trying to repair the box, but decided it was too much to hope that I could repair the damage, even though I was saving $60. I've had good luck with the returned items dept. before, but this time they let me down. Still, of all the shadow boxes I've purchased, this is still the best one I've found. I still would recommend this item, just not from the return warehouse.
