The new Ultra-Lite free-standing ramp from Pet Gear is our lightest ramp option for traveling with your pet. The ramp features a removable supertraX mat which has pressure activated grip, allowing for pets’ paws to easily grip into the mat, providing sure-footing. The mat is soft, protecting pets’ paws and auto interiors and can be removed for easy cleaning. The free-standing design means the ramp supports itself and does not need to rest on your vehicle or furniture. Our patent pending design includes a “foot” on the bottom of the ramp which reduces the Incline, making it less steep than most other ramps on the market and easier for your pet to climb. The ramps legs fold and are easily stored under the ramp for storage and portability.

I am having shoulder surgery in a few weeks and needed another ramp since I will not be able to lift my dogs for them to get in the bed. I tried putting this in my room and encouraging them to use it, to no avail. Then I tried putting this ramp next to their longer ramp for getting on their couch; they totally ignored it. Finally, I took their longer ramp to my bedroom for them to use for the bed. When this ramp was the only way for them to get on their couch they scampered up it like it had always been there. I was surprised my little fat chihuahua could use it so easily because it is a big first step to get on the ramp and he is bottom heavy, but it was not a problem for him. This is their second Pet Gear ramp and they love the mat material on them; it makes it non slip so they feel secure.
