This review is for the white gate, which is taller than our dog gates and other pet gates at 59.06". This looks good, and works as described. The gate is made of smoothly coated, nicely finished metal, opens in both directions, and the hinges and overall construction are very sturdy. The width is adjustable which we need for an open corridor. The entrance to the corridor does not have a door, just the frame, so the pressure mount fits perfectly in the frame. I tried the kick pedal but it is not a glide over solution for those who shuffle, use walkers or for strollers. We have doors that are ADA compliant, and although the opening for this gate is not the standard 32" width for wheelchairs, it's close enough for other needs. Although not specifically sold for this purpose it may be of relevant note to others as well.We wanted to close off access to the cats getting into the corridor that leads to bedrooms, bathrooms and office, as the fosters have their own room and our house cats have the run of the rest of the house. This gate is a successful deterent for all of our cats except one, and she is the absolute boss mama cat who is incredibly polite, and only jumps over to wake us in the morning (also the shortest cat). The other cats understand the barrier and leave gifts like toy mice and socks to greet us when we open it. Although it feels like it will close on its own, I hold the gate until closed to avoid tales and paws, and keep an eye on our escape artist (the other mama cat). Set up is quick and easy with provided instructions. Recommended for (most) cats, and for dogs too.
