I ended up buying this cutting mat because I was having trouble finding one that was extra long, but not too wide (needed to fit my IKEA table). It fits the table perfectly with about an inch of table left over on each side. It “heals” pretty good when cutting - I did observe that cutting curves tends to damage the mat quicker so I try not to do that. It’s very heavy duty and sturdy.When it arrived it was rolled up and boxed, so I had to flatten it out. I found the best way was to remove the plastic and use a warm hair dryer for about 10 min to soften it up enough that I could get it to lay flat (it was below zero here when it arrived, so if I tried to flatten it right out of the box it probably would have cracked). Then I layed it flat on the floor and covered it with heavy objects and left it over night. It was perfect by the morning and I was able to use it immediately.Overall, it’s a great mat, a little pricey, but you definitely are getting a quality product here.
