Our Kensington series 20" high a Free Standing gates have a unique sliding width adjustment feature which makes their width easily expandable without the use of tools! The Large Size Gate adjusts from 39.25 up to 72" wide. The gate legs rotate so that the gate can be compactly stored under a sofa or in a closet when not in use. The wide leg base prevents tipping and the Free Standing design means that no installation is necessary. These gates are handcrafted of mortise and tenon construction without the use of nails, pins or screws and the beautiful finishes are applied with care and attention to detail to ensure lasting durability.

I was looking for a gate that was wide enough to use on our front porch. We wanted to our dogs to be with us when we hang out on the front porch. This gate is perfect (keep in mind, our dogs are well behaved, they could easily jump over or push thru if so inclined). We have fairly large dogs (60 pounds) and they like laying in front of the gate (because they can see out) or hang their heads over the top to see what all is going on in the neighborhood. It is lightweight and easy to use and surprisingly attractive. We store it in our basement when we are not using because of the size of it - not easy to store in a small closet.
